Our Ballston Spa location is looking to find experienced hard working individuals to join our team of Facility Maintenance Technicians.
Hourly $25 - $30, annual performanced based raises.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks for company buildings in one or more fields (e.g. electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, carpentry, etc.). Also responsible for performing general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
- Identify and assist with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and repair work.
- Inspect buildings, electrical systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure safe, well-maintained conditions, identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Identify and perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures, open clogged lines, and drains.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs; replace light bulbs, ballasts, and fuses.
- Perform a variety of locksmith duties; install, repair, and replace locks on doors.
- Paint, remodel, and refurbish areas as needed.
- Assist in the maintenance of the Company owned railroad tracks.
- Perform janitorial duties as need. Like trash removal, restocking/cleaning restrooms, sweeping/moping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning entryway/cigarette receptacles, cleaning/polishing/floors, cleaning/disinfecting community surfaces (handrails, water fountains, vending machines, etc.)
- Assist with snow removal
- Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC system, changing filters, blower motors, and bearings.
- Inspect, service and maintain operational functionality of automatic doors.
- Complete maintenance work orders as assigned and in a timely manner.
- Assist with moving loading, unloading, and storing supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures while using chemicals, power tools, hand tools and equipment; knowledge of proper lifting techniques
- Ability to operate equipment and tools
- Understanding of building codes.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices and Safety Data Sheets
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
- Ability to perform work independently or on a team.
Hours:
- Full Time 40+ Hours per week- Consistent schedule- Start time 6:30am
- Adjustment of hours and/or weekend work may be required and/or occasional overtime.
